you remember your thoughts
and observations, so you might use
them later in stories or poems.  It
also helps you practice writing!!

3. Names I’d rather have

4. Favorite Books

5. Places I want to visit

How to keep a journal:

1. PAY ATTENTION to what’s going on…your feelings, your friends, the sky, the wind…words, t.v.

2. Write down what you notice IMMEDIATELY!!

3. You can always go back and reread–rewrite–then WRITE SOME MORE!!

Things you might want to keep in your journal:

pictures, notes, postcards, flower petals, napkins (not too used hopefully) fabric, newpaper articles, drawings, tags, ANYTHING THAT INSPIRES YOU!!
