Get your calendars out…our next Writers Group will be held Saturday, December 6th!!

Grades 4-6 will meet from 1-2pm

Grades 7 & up will meet from 2-3pm

Bring paper, pen and anything you may want to work on or share!!

With summer coming to an end and school getting ready to start, Write Stuff Writing Group at The Tipp City Public Library will have their next meeting….

Saturday, September 13

Grades 4-6 will meet from 1-2

Grades 7 & up will meet from 2-3…

Summer picture writing activity…

The options are really endless.

You may want to grab some old magazines.

Maybe newspapers.

Or perhaps you’ve got some of your own personal pictures on hand.

Now…select maybe 4,5 or 6 pictures…cut them out and get that imagination going.

Grab some paper, your favorite writing utensil and start telling a story by the pictures you’ve hand picked!

Go in order from left to right…and once you’ve written one–REARRANGE– and GET BUSY AGAIN!!

Such creativity!!!

Planet: You decide!!

They were given a writing exercise to warm up…what kind of planet would they live on; the name; would there be people…anything!! And then they drew how they envisioned it…though it was just to get their brains warmed up, they loved it and took most of the hour finishing their planet.

All the while, we drank hot chocolate–ate–and had some great conversation!!

We kicked off our writers group Wednesday, November 14 with local paper artist, Alison Rusk, by personalizing journals with handmade paper. With a roomful of inspiring young writers, we had an awesome time!!
